Original New Age Music

Pamela Whitman and Rich Kurtz create original new age music for meditation, yoga, massage and mindful relaxation. Pamela uses special effects on her collection of flutes from around the world. She loves creating conversations between her Native American flutes and Rich’s cello. Rich uses acoustic and electric strings, keyboards and guitars to produce ambient environments and create instrumental characters. Lush arrangements, melodic story-telling and nature sounds offer gentle messages of environmental renewal.

Pamela and Rich’s collaboration began when performing together in the Playmates Quartet. Rich wanted to record and produce Pamela’s original New Age world music and invited her to Cadence Music Studio where he produced her Christmas CD “The Twelve Flutes of Christmas”. The ease and joy of their partnership led them to keep writing and recording music together. Pamela and Rich dedicate their original music to wellness through inner peace. Their music has been programmed on "Hearts of Space" radio, Journeyscapes and New Age Notes radio .

Pamela Whitman

Pamela uses digital delay, breath tones, and whistle tones to create angelic effects. Her multi-media Peace Concerts have toured internationally and been the subject of documentaries aired in seventeen Asian countries. Artists for a Better World honored Pamela in an international award ceremony in Hollywood for her humanitarian work as an artist. She is an ordained minister of A Course in Miracles and uses conference calls, speaking engagements, retreats, and broadcasts to share inner peace. She has been the Principal Flutist of the Ocean City Pops Orchestra since 1989. She holds a Bachelors of Music Performance in Flute from The University of Michigan. She is a descedant of the great American poet Walt Whitman.

Rich Kurtz

Producer Rich Kurtz provides ambience with electronica, cello, fretless bass, and guitar. He continually experiments with new sounds to expand the sonic horizons of his instruments. Rich plays upright bass in the Bay Atlantic Symphony and electric bass with many East Coast bands. Rich owns and operates the award-winning music studio Cadence Music. Rich is one of the most experienced bassists working today, having performed thousands of recorded appearances and live concerts. He has performed with Ray Charles, George Benson, Luciano Pavarotti, Peter Cetera, Harry Connick Jr., Michael Feinstein, Andrea Bocelli and more. Rich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Education.

“Spirit of Peru” is the first in a series of music releases from PeaceHear Recordings. Our “Spirit” series begins in Peru and features a collaboration with acclaimed Peruvian pan flute prodigy, Cesar Villalobos. Our “Spirit” series will be a worldwide, musical journey to faraway lands and inner realms. Some will feature collaborations with artists from all over the world, while others will honor the Earth’s natural elements.

"Spirit of Peru” combines the energy and vibrance of the Andes with deeply meditative flute, cello and bass environments. Musician friends from New York, Nashville and Philadelphia shared their talents for this project. We have loved our international collaboration with Cesar Villalobos and guitarist Fernando Villablanca. Look for more from these inspired artists as our “Spirit” series continues!
